Just picked up a 17' TRD to replace my 2011. The rep at my local 4x4 shop said the stock suspension should be sufficient for the following specs as long as I add an in-coil space lift...what do you guys think/or would recommend?

-Live in CO and would like to traverse the jeep passes in SW Colorado (Black Bear, Imogene, pearl etc...)

-Would like to cruise fast on dirt roads with washboards

    -Will be adding:
    1. Cooper Discoverer at3 XLT LT285/75R16 with -12mm 4" offset wheels
    2. Front Bumper CBI T3 with 10k lb winch
    4. Dual battery system
    5. Rear block lift. Not much weight back there, just a softopper and camping gear (still on the fence about a rear bumper).

With that setup your front end is going to drop significantly and those tires will most likely rub. For a good, entry-level suspension, that can handle that font end weight, look at Bilstein 5100s or OME Nitrochargers with 887 or 886 springs.

Also, if you're going to get a rear bumper, I would recommend at least looking at a 3-leaf add a leaf. The stock springs do not like constant loads and most rear bumpers are going to add 30-50 lbs minimum at the worst leverage point.

Thanks for the easy to understand advice! With the OME/Nitros, would after market upper control arms be necessary?

You MIGHT be able to get away with not doing UCAs. It's really going to depend on how much caster you can dial back in with your alignment. The 886s and 887s both provide a good bit of lift in the front end (2.5-3") but with that much weight there is a possibility of you being able to get the stock UCAs back within spec.
