I’m assuming it’s just sales jargon, but is the “limited” actually a limited production model? Could you actually walk into a dealer and be told “sorry....all sold out of the Limited for this year”.

Just a question that crosses my mind from time to time.

It means there are a limited number of people that actually buy that trim.

I don't think they are even as Limited as the Pros from what I see on dealer lots

Apparently I’m supposed to ‘ignore-list’ you guys. It’s the new thing here.

Yeah. That’s what I witness as well. I’m thinking they are not Limited at all, which makes the badge as dumb as “TRD” on a truck that was NOT developed for racing.

I don't think i've personally ever witnessed a limited trim truck in the wild..... unless they also spackle "TRD 4X4 SUPER CRAY OFF-ROAD" on the side of them.

I had a 1995 Mazda B2300 that I put a Limited badge on. They were selling the badges at a local auto parts store and I was in my 20s, at the time it seemed like a good idea. :anonymous:

No mention from Toyota of it being limited in production. I guess it’s just a bunch of nonsense.

There’s some chestnuts in Toyota’s sales pitch on their website for sure. The “full chrome grille” jumped out at me :D. Not bad looking in blue.

In 2016 it was Limited due to the fact it was the only one with leather seats. I don't think there was a Pro in 2016. I guess they just kept the name.

Should be called “Unlimited” as in unlimited shifting of the transmission and TSB’s we’ll throw at it the truck.

Limited might refer to the rust coverage though. That’s my guess.

Don't they make "limited" trim is basically everything? If my mother-in-law thought she was getting something special with that RAV4 limited, I don't want to break the news to her....

It means it appeals to a limited amount of customers. I’ve only seen one on the road. You can now get pretty much all of the options found on the limited on the sport or OR, - the chrome bits so why bother? :D

It's more of a label to get some people to buy it thinking they're getting something not everyone has.

All that chrome limits the visibility of oncoming traffic.

It’s a pickup truck, Toyota. Do what you do best and stop trying to French it up for the guys who need power seats.
