Are you really as angry as your posts make you seem? I just want to give you a big hug and tell you everything is going to be OK.

If I was a betting man, and not so simple, I’d wager “yes”.

Which takes us back the the whole question of this thread, as my simple mind sees it.

Why does Toyota insist on these monikers that have no relation to the truck?

    Limited’s are not limited
TRD’s are not developed for racing
    Pros’s are not for pros.

I think it’s time for Toyota to revamp these badges.

Give him that hug. His posts usually reflect an impatience with people who post easily answered questions or who needlessly complain....so in that sense, I feel a kinship with cwdog. He's as angry as I am....which means he's just cranky and old.

Stocklocker, on the other hand is a cunning, foreign provocateur (and some suspect a hot asian lady in a Catholic school outfit)...and this thread is a prime example of her targeting and riling up people - namely those who for some unfathomable reason shelled out extra money for a Limited

I mean, shit, if Sweeers comes back and says that Limiteds and not "Limited", then the OP has done two things: set off the limited amount of limited owners and exposed one of the deepest levels of fraud and false advertising in the corporate world.

Stocklocker had been asking for some of us to call her "Deep Throat" for purely sexual reasons, now she may get that nickname for her excellent and penetrating undercover expose of false marketing at one of the largest automakers in the world.

I think, the most obvious answer is:
    • Common
    • SLD - Slow Lane Development
    • Amateur
Don’t have quite the same ring to them.

All true. I’m operating on multiple levels. My provocation is stirring people from their marketing-induced slumber. The quiet war has begun.

Of all those three, I find TRD the most controversial.

NASCAR notwithstanding, I agree Toyota has as much credibility in “racing”, as Fiat does claiming “reliability.”

But Toyota has always been the poker face in the industry, making outlandish marketing claims with a straight face.

This is the best thread I’ve ever participated in:

    -Dildo edition
    - Cursed infinity desert gauntlets
    - Dildo lost and found
    - discontinued McDonalds promotions
    - Rims with Dick Spokes
    - Free hug offers
    - .....and a Damn Mr. Wizard clip

You are seriously trying to be miserable if you’re not amazed at the plot twists in this thread

Did you seriously pull a Mr Wizard's World clip? That's a deep dig into the early days of cable TV.
