Traded the 2015 TRD Pro 6spd Supercharged on a PowerWagon and could not be happier. My 2011 Tacoma with the TX Baja package (Added by me) is still treating me great. My 1985 Toyota never skips a beat.
I myself am not sure what the difference was, I run an AAL as well. The only truck I have ever had that bad was my 2012 it was completely stock OR package with less than 10k on it. with a the engine from my 2003 corolla on a pallet in the back it was negative arched, and sagging ass like crazy. Being generous and saying the 1.8 liter all aluminum 4cyl and pallet weighed 500 lbs, after the short drive from where I picked it up I checked it out sitting in the driveway. There was less than an inch before the bumps touched the pad.

That 2012 was so bad that if I would load any amount of stuff in the bed driving around it would constantly hit the bump stops, 20 mile trips to home depot were terrible I felt like I was in a ghetto lowered civic in the back driving down the highway.

I ordered springs for it, but I was tired of the truck anyway and got my 2013. I love it.

My stock non-TSB leafs weren't all that bad. They handled more weight than I thought they would without riding on the bump stops or hitting them constantly. I just didn't like the soft ride.

I really want to try these General HD packs with a load. I can jump on the back and it barely moves so I think they'd do pretty well.

I saw my first about a week ago. No more since.

By contrast, I've seen tons of '14 and '15 Tacomas, and I'm only counting the TRDs because they're the only ones that I can definitively tell apart from the '12s and '13s.

    Those Reliability rating are scewed.
Notice Ridgeline is clear winner. Why? Because Ridgeline is pretty much used like a minivan with bad so yeah its goign to last longer.

Than you have V6 vs 4Cyl Tacoma. look at the difference. If you read just that you would think v6 is that much more reliable, what people don't understand most companies would buy 4 cyl as their company truck. Those 4 cyl are beaten on more than V6.
    When you extend this.
Its more likely somebody uses Ford 250 for heavy work (towing, construction) than V6 tacoma.
So yeah if I bought W900 Kenworth and used only as my Daily Driver that thing would last probably 6 generations.

So your whole premise on reliability is based upon how much people "beat on their trucks"? So the Dodge is the worst beat on truck in the list?

No what I am saying is that there is much more to rating than just "factory Quality"
But its enough to skew numbers. Unless you want to tell me that Ridgeline is that much better than Tacoma and somehow V6 Tacoma is that much better than 4cyl.

In south Texas that's a "Yep."

I rarely see Tundras towing, but I see Sierras and Frods everywhere towing crap. Actually, I don't see a lot of Tacos or Frontiers towing either, unless it's an obviously overloaded U-Haul trailer that is exceeding the warning label 45 MPH.

Trying to make excuses for the Chevy, Ford and Ram doesnt help. Face it Japanese auto makers are more reliable and have less problems per 100 vehicles every single year. The trend is however the Amercian companies are gaining ground and becoming more reliable except for Chrysler group they cant ever get it right in terms of reliablity

I went taco because I don't want to be a Guinea pig for GM or 2016 taco. I read about springs, and frame rust, and all the other gripes. At least with a 2015 I have all of everyone's help and can help to prevent things that are known issues. Chevy has been horrible with previous vehicles. The GM dealerships are horrible. I swore that I would walk before I went back to my local dealer for another screwing. After destroying GM he bought a toyota dealership:(. 2016 taco will no doubt be good, but I will let someone else spend $32,000 to find out. That and I can't do the looks of the new one. Sorry mr toyota

Well yes.. mostly.. lol just like every other damn truck people buy and don't need

    BUT

Given the proposed, and actual amount of skewing on the list. The 4cyl Tacoma is clearly a very reliable vehicle!

And it is perfectly possible that the ridgeline is as reliable, with a slightly better bump in reports due to the fact that the thing is not really a truck or used as one.

Then you have people like me who have very heavy usage and my repairs are not reported because I do them myself.
However those vehicles are being used as designed and the reliability report shows that. I wouldn't call it skewed because of that, I would say that makes it more realistic. You buy a vehicle and use it how it was intended, the resulting overall reliability is reported and recorded and then we have a list showing that DODGE makes SHIT.

Most of them yes. If they Haul its a usually very rare and light stuff.
If you sell 100 vehicles and 90 of them do nothing but move air, of course number of their breakdowns will be lower than 100 vehicles where 90 of them are purchased for local construction business and do nothing but move yardage.
