Now that's a helpful reply! I'll rephrase my question. Has anybody spoken with a Toyota mechanic about transmission wear from constant shifting. Maybe it is designed to do that and there is no need for concern. In my nearly 70 years of driving, I have never had a vehicle shift this much. And, I am not going to sell it!

use S5 and keep it from jumping to 6th. Its too tall IMO. I bumped up to 32" tires and cant use 6th unless the road is tabletop flat, with no headwind

Well what did you expect? These trucks were not designed to use 32'' tires. Changing one thing is going to affect another.

yea, you need to change the gearing to compensate for the larger tires. it's like riding a bike being in too high of gear all the time. the truck has to work harder.

I agree, it's just a hell of a lot cheaper to bump down to S5 than to regear the diffs :)

I hope this isn’t too stupid of a question… I have a 2011 4 cylinder. I got it a couple of years ago and I love it but I’m not sure if it’s built for like off roading. It’s 4x4 but I’d just like to know if I mod it a little bit will it be good enough to off road for like camping and stuff like that.
