I don't even live in the same state as him, but he is the only parent I have left. I cannot remember the last time my mum was alive. None of my other friends care about vehicle, much less trucks.

Look is in the eye of the beholder. Don't like, get something else. What is the issue here?

What is underneath the sheet metal. Owned Toyotas for 30 years, each one has been mostly reliable. Leary to buy anything else just because it looks better.

Only this or the gladiator. The only two real off-road trucks, and the only two with manual. Choice and options are extremely limited.

Love the look of the Gladiator, however all my friends who own Jeeps have nothing but problems with them at low miles. Person I work with just lost a head gasket at 40K. They were asking for mechanic recommendations, told them the best way to fix a Jeep is to trade it on a Toyota.

What makes the Tacoma more “real” as an off road truck than the ford or gm offerings?

You don't see Ford or GM off-roading. Or rather you never see fleet of them off-roading together. You only see Jeeps and Toyotas. And when it comes to overlanding, you mostly only see Toyotas. Tacoma, 4runner, and FJ cruiser in the U.S and Hilux, Land Cruiser Prado, and sometime Fortuner oversea.

Who is planning to hopefully remove the T O Y O T A letters on the passenger side interior on the glove box/ dash area? I know that will be one of the first things I do.

Seems like a super easy fix.

I believe toyota is on the trd pro models which I actually like, and on the other trims it is tacoma spelled on the passenger glove box, not a big fan of that.

That how I feel about the Cybertruck, and still have my deposit on one. Though I will cancel it once they call or email me.

I wouldn't be surprised if the roof spoiler is also there as a means to prevent water leaks into the cab from the 3rd Brake Light.

Didn’t even think of that. Yeah maybe!

Haven’t even paid attention to mine, have been getting some serious rain here, probably should have a look see. Though I am known for forgetting to close the slider window.

This started sometime in the 90s when Ford started rolling out their weird ass bubble trucks. I was living in the south back then and they dragged out some no-name country musician in an ad who wanted to talk about how he likes his Chebby because he doesn’t want his truck “looking like a daggum bubble.”

That’s when Dodges first had the crosshairs grilles and were styled to look like semis.

God forbid your pick up truck which was a literal extension of your manhood didn’t look manly enough.

Now that we have completely made all of our trucks look so manly that the Rock looks like a pussy standing next to one, we now have to shove them full of off-road packages, factory lifts, and knobby tires, and huge engines because not only do they have to look manly, they have to back that up.

We’ce sacrificed practicality, size, convenience, cost, for bold, manly, aggressive styling and off-road performance with sports car 0-60 times.

And since these things now cost $50,000 and up for midsize and plus 70k for full size we have decided to shove luxury features into them as well because a truck that costs that much cannot NOT be luxurious.

So to answer your question, we’ve gone too far.
