Yes they still do,if you go to Africa today they are still enslaving thier own people,lets see if Ywen has anything to say about that the 2010 and they are still enslaving thier own,when we abolished it in the 1800's and millions of people died for that cause to abolish it.

To think that the obscure angle of current status in Africa is some how relevant to the discussion of slavery + civil war in a historical context, is well.. I'm afraid racist as well..

Damn... Hope I don't hurt any feelings on this, but... The current status and the happenings in Africa are directly relative to the discussion of slavery, because it's STILL going on! Slavery is more prominent in Africa and in other parts of the world than you care to know about. Secondly, it's not whites that head the slavery ring in Africa, it's the folks of the same skin color! Tell me how criticizing what they are doing is racist?

 

well, im not too concerned about black and white and brown whatever, because everyone is different. there are different types of whites, blacks, whatever. no umbrella description.

but slaves and slave owners. that to me cant get anymore wrong. i dont know thats just me. slavery is wrong, if black men or white men have slaves. either way is wrong in my book

 

In a conversation touching on the topic of slavery in America's past - By injecting a comment on present-day slavery going on in Africa is sort of like saying "Those people had it going for them. Look at them now."

Unless some other meaning could be explained by the injection of that obscure tidbit.

 

Im not denying Slavery existed in the US Ill Im saying if your so passionate about slavery why dont you go to Africa and tell those who still are practicing it to stop for humanitys sake,and quit trying to discredit the contributions that Southern folks have made in making this a great country,I love the Southern flag and what ity stands for and I think the Southern people are great,Im a Yankee and quite a few of my ancestors fought in the Civil War on the Union side and were killed,you have to admire thier fighting prowess as soldiers inthe Civil War AND THIER FLAG REPRESENTS THAT TO ME.
