is the K&N cold air intake worth it?

    My truck had the CAI on it when I bought it and looking back I wish it had the regular airbox. Its not the CAI setup I dislike... but the oiled filter thats a pain. Cleaning it takes overnight or more... and then if you put too much oil on it... it mucks up your MAF and throws a code...blah blah... Plus in a dusty desert environment I've been told that the paper filters are actually better. Anyway, do the other mods.

    Also, if anybody knows of where I could find a paper cone for the end of the CAI that would be totally awesome...

    I got all of mine at West Marine $13 and they had alot to choose from whether you want a clear center or white and they also have one that is black with black center or clear but it is your choice, plus you can get the stainless screws there.

    I have a spare cone off an injen technology CAI but it is the one just like the K&N that is oiled, let me know if your interested it is like brand new!
