Is the labor cost for this lift too high?

Walk away, slowly. They’re definitely over charging for time.

As for labor, idk. That will fluctuate with location. Our rate is $120 BUT where we are isn’t nearly as expensive as SoCal which means those areas will be more.

To give you an idea on the latest job I did:

    2011 TX PRO

Removed front stock bumper, installed winch, ditch lights, light bar in aftermarket plate bumper, welded frame reinforcement plates on, installed bumper.

Removed stock suspension. Installed Icon Stage 3 kit with remote resis. Replaced a tie rod. Alignment.

Did this whole job alone in 9 hours... labor was $989, alignment $89. Cut him a break on the labor.

@jowybyo and I did JBA UCA’s, ADS Front Coilovers, Remote Resi w/ Clicker tips on rear and HD Dakar’s, 5 hours.

Idk what Toytec lifts cost, never looked but we did ADS w/ Remote Resi and Clicker Tops and JBA UCA’s for $3100.

Edit: and to charge to throw away old parts is silly. They’re steel, and should be recycled and you get money for scrap steel. We dump thousands of pounds of steel monthly from runoff. Old suspension goes with it. I think we are paid $8 on the 100 pounds right now.

Edit #2: I forgot to mention all our suspension came from Marie @HeadStrong Off-Road. Shoot her a message if you’re interested in getting some quotes. Very knowledgeable and helpful.

    Are you near La Habra?

We have a shop that is there that does exactly this. They’re going to start stocking and installing our armor for that area too.

$180 for an Alignment fuck. I think we charge $80 or $90. Why is labor per hour fluctuating. $135 for a 10 retorque check. That should be apart of the lift install. Fuck that place. In my opinion.
