I had to put a new battery in my 06 Tacoma. I noticed that my "a" and "b" odometers were at Zero after I put the new battery in. I am wondering if the part of the ecu that turns on the "maintenance required" light is also set to zero when the battery is disconnected.

I don't want to go much over 5000 miles between oil changes and if this odometer is set to zero I need to know.

I hope that makes sense. Thanks for the help! :D

I don't think he was asking how to reset the light.

While I don't have anything concrete to go on, I'll say no.

No it does not reset I replaced my battery about 1k before the maintenance required light was to come on, and it came on at the correct interval.
