Is the pcv valve supposed to be super loud?

Do you feel any mild shaking in idle when in gear?

No I don’t, but I’m at almost 96xxx and they recommend changing it close to 100000. So I just consider it preventative maintenance.

I'm at 26000 miles and I noticed my pcv making a light buzzing noise, confirmed with breaker bar stethoscope. After replacing it with new OEM valve, the old one rattled when shaking it in my hand just like the new one. The new one makes the same light buzzing noise while idling. I pinched the hose between the pcv valve and the intake while idling and it would make a hissing noise when pinched then stop when released. Would you guys say that's normal or hose connections too loose contributing to the valve buzzing somehow? Maybe it's normal...everything running fine before and after.

You can spray some ether around the areas you think may be leaking. If there is a leak your rpm’s will spike because it is combusting the ether. If no spike no leak. It’s not a huge spike but it’s enough to notice if you listen.
