It would have been worth 10K it if it came in an Access Cab. I like the Pro trim and features but I have no use for a truck with a 5 foot bed.

Okay, a few hours in and results shows 80% to 20% = not worth it. I see it as a butt for every seat, unless it is a Ford Edsel :transformer:

Agreed, I’d even consider an OR or Pro if they came in manual trans long bed

I don't think so and this is why...you get the same powertrain as a base Tacoma. I'm sorry but if they're trying to sell the be-all end-all ubermensch trim like the Pro they have to at least give you a supercharger or something to set it apart from an SR. Small V8, a turbo...something.

Bilsteins 5100s on the top setting, 4runner Gray TRD Pro Sema wheels, 285/70/17 Toyo AT3s, Sumo Bump stops, TRD exhaust, ECGS Clamshell bushing, 1/4 shim for the lean and one inch rear block, OEM Pro grill and garnish OEM TRD Skid plate, TRD CAI, Demon Brackets, Rigid Industries Pro fog lights, OEM Trail Rails sidebars, Diode Dynamics LED SL1 high and low beam lights, OEM Roof racks, Clazzio leather heated seats, Remote Start, TRD Pro shift knob, tinted windows, Rockford Fosgate 4 channel amp for the headunit and sub and amp combo, OEM Puddle lights, OEM tailgate lock, OEM bed mat, LED interior lights, OEM blackout kit for letters, JLT catch can, upgraded 27F toyota True Start battery, Vleds led tail light kit with Pro tail lights, OEM Rave4 side mirrors with convex spotters, just to name a few mods.
They are nice but not for me. I'm not rock crawling, never taking my Taco in anything serious. Just the beach or some snow if need be. Not crazy about the colors and no long bed. My Sport fits the bill for me, add some clazzo leather seat covers, a little leveling kit and some 265/70s bfgs at white letters out on my sport wheels with an inch spacer and I'm good to go. Yea I said a leveling kit or spacer. They are fine for everyday driving, light off road is all I might do maybe once or twice. Seen several kits last and do just fine for what it's worth. So I'm not interested in a Pro at all. Just like a Ford Raptor, not for me but I will take an f150 king ranch over all day.

If it's a 3rd gen... The answer is no, it's not worth it.

I have said this multiple times on different threads in past threads. Thanks for backing me up.

To make a hypothetical comparison (prices are not the same, so relax). But it’s essentially like paying for a Mustang Cobra GT500, but getting a Mustang GT. Sure they are both nice, but you need a REAL push to motivate buyers to pull the trigger. Doesn’t make sense. If I ever paid that much, it better have a power advantage or at least a significant off-road advantage.

It's not bothering me, but it seems like a dumb hobby to venture into other forums and "criticize" owners of a truck that is markedly better than yours in every way.

At first I thought the Pro was worth every penny.. then I did more research into it.. the Off Road suits me just fine.. I have OR leather seats & push start engine.. I think I made the right choice.. in 3 years I will do suspension lift & wheels/tires

Lmfao! You do know that the main page shows all most recent posts. I saw it, and decided to "venture over" and :poking:

For fun... you need to really lighten up and work on your sense of humor.

And no... you're truck is definately more expensive. But it's defi ately not "better."

That's my same exact situation. I would love an OR or the PRO,but I legit never take my truck off roading. Snow and rain..that's pretty much it. Glad I'm not the only one with the same opinion lol I think I'll get the Sport when it comes time to trade in

No. It is better. Outside of building a trail rig, it's better in every way.
I do understand how the front page works. I have not ventured into a forum where I have nothing of value to post. I mean I could venture to your neck of the woods and ask how many frames you have had replaced, or what it's like driving a truck with less horsepower than a Fiesta, but I don't.
My sense of humor is fine, post something funny and see.

No trim level is worth it to buy new if you plan to change out all the parts that make up the trim level. (Wheels, Suspension, gearing, lockers, grilles, etc) That's my $.02.

It was worth it to me. I paid MSRP which is still more than the OR but I wanted one so I got it. I don’t care what people think, one way or the other. My money... My truck.

Pay as you go, or pay all up front!

Only issue with Pro is if you want a big lift, you have to sell the suspension in which you spent the greatest mark up on.
