1st gen 4dr 4wd is 700# less than a similar 3rd gen, but it has almost 90 less hp. It's also down almost 50 ft lbs. I'm not sure on where you are getting 30, whatevers. Towing capacity is less, fuel mileage is less, and they didn't even have a pro model.

    Working on them
I purchased the Tacoma TRD Pro Double Cab with Manual Transmission only after doing a pile of Home work on doing the custom suspension VS the Pro setup with lots of consideration of what my plans are for the truck and the cost to have "custom" suspension installed along with the ability to obtain replacement parts nearly anywhere I may end up. The "custom" build setup lost out in so many ways from lead time for replacement if you are out on the road to a surprising number of places that would simply Not work on it Unless you know the right place to go in a location you never been to before Versus the Pro setup part finding search turned up way more hits with more available than lets say the well known Icon system. I have had a FJ cruiser with Icon system in it and loved it except for finding what I needed when I was 1400 miles from home so it all boils down to what you are going to do where.

I’m aware I owned one for 14 years.

What vehicle is “best” is just an opinion. You can’t prove opinions wrong. If somebody likes something better than something else, how are they wrong?

Which one you like best is an opinion. Using data and numbers to show the superior vehicle isn't.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
    Lmao... here we go.

THE reason I thought it would be fun to make my comment was I wondered if some oversensitive, pretentious, douche was going to tell me how much better his truck was than mine... and, well... here you are.

That didn't take long at all. Generation III, never disappoints.

It was a joke dude... lighten up.

:gossip: And my truck hasn't been ranked by every Auto publisher (Popular Mechanics, and Consumer Reports) as the worst truck on the current market... and my tranmission actually shifts when it's supposed to... so there's that.

At around 9:20 in this video he mentions the Sunroof becoming Standard Equipment on the Pro.

The 2018 Pro MT I just put a down payment on was only 4000 more than the 2017 OR AT (awful). Built on July 27, 7 days ago. The suspension costs $3000 but the shit will come down on how awful the Fox is. Alas... So go for it.

It's Voodo blue on the 19s. Check out the Chicago car show from February. They will be Super White, for us desert rats, midnight black for those in the frozen north, and Voodo blue for...well for whomever.

I've seen the video but I believe he's referring to the Tundra but I do hope he's right and I'm wrong. It's about time Toyota offered both the moon roof and JBL on the Pro.

Isn't the Fox suspension 3 grand aftermarket?

Did the same. 1500 over MSRP. 8 hour drive. In ABQ they wanted 4500 over. Why cheaper in Utah?

I think you're right even out west. I got a 2018 pro for about 1500 over MSRP. Built 7 days ago. One of the last 2018s.
