Ok, so the PRO-BRO is 10k to 12k more than my Sport - to me it cannot do anything better than my Sport for what I use the truck for, so no brainier save the 10-12k. However, some folks are saying it is 3 to 5 grand more over a similarly equipped OR?? Is it worth the 3 to 5 grand then?

I got my MT for $32k. The best I had the pro in stick here for was $43.2

For me I knew what I could do with $11.2k.

I love it but I feel stupid putting new shocks on it to get more height and support the weight of the armor I want. I am glad I got a cement truck without all the techy bs in the 18s though. I guess the badge is cool and I get super pumped when I see others in the wild. Still not worth it.

Same here - 32400 DCSB MT Sport from Ira Toyota in Manch. They had the best price for me in NH.

If you care for label and aesthetic maybe

For me just caring about performance not worth it at all. The pro is about 13-15k more here in Canada, for that same money I have full armor, better lift, and bigger tires on an off road so same traction control tech. Performs better off road than a pro would for the same money.
And I don't want the 'bro' or mall crawl label.
Besides I loved the cement color in pictures but hated it in person.

Right. Haha. A real 3 inch lift, extended travel. Full compression adjustment. I scream down roads in the back country. Trips that took me an hour take me 40 min now.

I justified paying the 5k markup in SoCal for my 18' Cavalry Blue due to how much they resale in my area. The color was a big factor and I had a feeling I was going to replace the stock Pro Fox's (which I did) and got decent money for them plus I sold the rigid fogs as well. At this point I am already running glass fenders, long travel, etc. Could I have just bought a OR and done this, yes but I want to build a Pro to my liking. Look at how many Raptor owners do the same (run glass fenders, long travel or upgraded suspension). If you can afford it you will be happy with the decision of buying a Pro. If not just use that extra money for mods.

The pro isn't even 1" higher like they say haha. I've measured every time I saw one parked or at dealer for a bit. Centre hub to fender was the same as any off road.

Yeah . Plus 1" does nothing for me. Where we camp and fish I bring about 700lbs of food, fuel, tools, and gear. And that's when I'm light. I'd flatten that stock leaf out.

For sure. If you're going to plan on selling a vehicle, a higher priced stock truck will sell higher than a lower cost truck with aftermarket parts that don't have much resale value.

    That's why it's a personal thing
Some people that's a factor and that's completely cool and has to be part of their choice making.

Most of the people I know that dump over $3k in parts aren't looking for an ROI on a truck that they're building for utility. The trade off is the ability and life experiences. All apart of it.

In a few years going to buy a new daily probably Corolla or something and taco will become weekend only.

For sure. But he's right. As an investment it's a better choice

Haha any of us cutting up 2016 2017 or 2018s fucked up.

The only aftermarket parts I even got close to a good resale value on is a set of SR8 on general grabbers with half milage on them

There's very very few vehicles that are actually investments lol.
One might have a higher resale but an investment makes money not lose. Pro you might not lose as much but you're still losing money

My investments. And I'll let you know right now a pro couldn't have covered what I did in the same time.

I just built an off-road the same was as my pro. At the end of the day my pro was only 2k more than The off-road. I’m happy with my decision.

The 2k difference is worth the following items:

    Hood
    Fog lights
    Grill
    Suspension
    Skid plate
    Smoked tail lights
    Nice interior items
Exhaust (which I factored in when building the off road)

I got employee pricing and paid under 40k out the door.

I’ve also built many cars in the past. My other car, 2009 bmw 335, has over 15k invested. I’m more of a buy it over build it guy now, but that’s me.

They are adding a 5K market adjustment here. ~$52K for a PRO. IMO, too much. The PROs are nice though. My SR5 is just 'truck nice', but for a lot less money :)

FYI Hendrick Toyota in Apex NC is selling their PROs at MSRP. They won't budge on the price but at least they aren't going over MSRP.
