That is not a mid life crisis. Thats just :puke:
No I live in a small town. Population 5800.
Yeah I have two in my itty bitty town. One blue and silver streak. We meet up on the highway heading south each day from work. Then wave to one another --(small town wave) as we part directions. All types drive these trucks. Bankers, lawyers, cops, musicians, comedians (me), technical, service, boy, girl, dog, jackass (nd) you name it. They just appeal to a broad range and audience.

To hell with everyone else! You bought it cuz you wanted it!!

I'm 41 and I'm a woman!! I love my truck!! It probably fits my personality better than anything else out there.

Reminds me of a couple years ago before I owned my 07 - I was driving around in a Dodge Ram quad cab. I'd pulled into the liquor store and got out, this guy says to me "That's a big truck for such a little girl".
WTF was that about? I think I just laughed at him. I felt like slapping his fat ass! (laugh) If he only knew.....

Again - To hell with everyone else! I stopped caring what people think of me and what I do. My family & true friends are the only people whom I care how they judge me. :D

Preach on, woman! Enjoyed your post. It pretty much says what we all feel anyway ... that it matters not what age you are with regard to the vehicle you drive. Any one who has a disparaging remark about your 'Coma (as I like to call my speedway blue truck), is probably jealous anyway and doesn't deserve the time of day. Enjoy what you got and move on down the road. I've had my '07 TRD DC Off-Road for 3 weeks now and the possibilities are endless. 55 years-old and loving every day that goes by!

I see the Tacoma as such a versatile vehicle that they just fit anyone. For example, just yesterday I saw a young guy driving a lifted AC TRD O/R with a huge "Browning" decal across his windshield......The truck looked awesome and fitted him to "T".Later in the day,I saw an older gentleman running a AC base......He was pulled close to the steering wheel and peeking over the dash and his truck suited him just right too. Now,if they were each driving the others truck,it may have looked a little out of place but hey,it would sure be a boring world if we were all exactly alike.

I don't think Taco's are only suited to any particular demographic other than "Smart".:)

    Great line! ... :D

I've used small pickups for 34 years, and owned at least one at all times during the last 24 years ....

... which should clue you in that I'm not 'young' ...

The Tacoma is a truck and although it might be marketed towards a younger crowd (http://www.toyota.com/tacoma/ has dirtbikes in the back) its still just a truck lol. I picked the truck because I feel that Toyota builds very durable trucks and I don't need to tow anything over the 6500lb max. I also prefer the smaller size of the midsize truck because of the turning radius and the ease of parking :)

Also its worth noting that the Tacoma is pretty dang expensive ($29k loaded) so I dont see a very young crowd buying a lot of tacomas. Sounds like another stereotype :)

.... you can't really fall into the habit of placing age brackets around material things or activities or you will always have a hard time with life :)

In my area I actually see a lot of "older" guys with Tacomas. I would say Low 40's to low 60's. The majority are completely stock though.
