IS THE TOYOTA TACOMA’S SALES LEAD UNTOUCHABLE?

There are many Colorado's around here with incentives when I bought my Taco, NONE on the Tacoma. Just did a quick search of two high volume dealers for here in NH both about 1 tom 2 mile from each other. In fact ~54 Chevy Colorado's Banks in Manchester, NH and 1 mile down the street 39 Tacos.

Oh, FFS! The North American Ranger hasn't been unveiled! Only spotted in camo testing. It's not the same body as the international Ranger!

 

Bingo. Plus I doubt that truck is even running the final body, all it's running is the under skin stuff that will be in the release model.

Toyota did the same thing with the 3rd gen Tacoma.

Yeah...until the Ford start rattling and having a lot of issues. Forgot to say....I do own a Ford and a MT Taco.

 

The article refers to it being front wheel drive or AWD. That's got to be a typo right?

 

Graphing the monthly sales as a trajectory for the future was a flawed idea. All it shows is January and February were slow months for most manufacturers. Certainly not that in a few months Tacoma will be off the chart increasing sales into the 20,000 and 30,000 vehicles per month by years end.

Graphing monthly Year to Date numbers would have made more sense.

 

Again, there is no solid information coming from Ford regarding the Ranger, but the information we’ve put together has come from reliable sources, that are usually on the money.

The new Ford Ranger 2018 will almost certainly be available as front wheel drive as standard, but all-wheel drive will be available as an option. The gearbox is more than likely to be a 6-speed auto, but there is talk of next generation transmissions being used further down the line

Honestly people may not even jump at the Ranger. The Tacoma and I am sure the Ranger is almost the same size as a f150
Those trucks aren't that big and the price for a Ranger might be in the F150 realm. If I was a Ford buyer, I'd probably just get the F150...
