The only way to know for sure is when we start seeing the VIN's. Where the vehicle is built definitely DOES MATTER. There is a reason why ALL of the best Toyota's (i.e Land Cruiser) are built in Japan. The Texas plant also builds great trucks. I bought a new 2014 Tundra from the Texas plant. It currently has 85K miles and runs like the day I bought it. I also have a Tacoma that was built in Texas and it is also great. In college I bought a new Camry that was built in Kentucky and it was awful. It had numerous problems. My in-laws leased the exact same model Camry but it was made in Japan and had no problems whatsoever. There is a reason why knowledgeable customers and dealers always covet the "J VIN."

My 2022 TRD Pro has a VIN starting with 3 so it looks like they have finally moved Pro production to MX.

    2021 was the transition year,
Some were made in TX, some in MX. 2022 and up should all be in Mexico per Toyota field inspector I spoke with.

I’m not reading all this to see if it’s already been concluded, but my Nov built ‘21 pro was made and Mexico. It makes some damn good food and plays soccer better than me, and it’s a damn solid truck (and I’m someone who wouldn’t have signed off with a single scratch on that plastic that will scratch if you look at it wrong).

Also, please answer why you care. Dare you.

Not the op but I'll dare to answer you.
I care because I like to see good paying jobs available to Americans to help them support their families. As opposed to mega corporations maximizing profits by underpaying foreign workers.

Also what is the button to push for food prep from truck? Can't find in manual.

I guess the original thread topic digressed as it always does here. I have no idea if the pro's are manufactured anywhere else, but my guess would be they are made in mexico as well. And I would prefer it from there as the Mexico plan has more quality awards than the Texas plant. So it is, in fact, a better facility with harder workers and no attitude to give you a Friday truck, like american workers. American auto manufacturing has always been bottom of the barrel, so I would not be comparing us to Mexico or any other country, where people actually have to work hard to remain employed. So the better trucks are probably coming from Mexico anyway. But truth is that the manufacturer controls QC and Toyota will push it's QC wherever they are made. Also read my sig, from the last discussion we had on this subject

the autoworker’s union in America almost financially buried themselves and the entire auto industry by refusing to restructure their pay. Google FU that shit, it will blow your mind.

The Ram 1500’s sold in Canada are all assembled in Michigan as far as I know. The 5th Gen Rams anyways. I’ll check the sticker on my Gen 4 when I go out later. I know it was the case that they we coming off a Mexican assembly line, but I think a lot of their production has shifted back to the states.

I wonder if people in Japan feel the same way about Toyota outsourcing good paying Japanese jobs to North America?

    True..
The all time low for the american auto industry started in the mid 70's and went into the late 90's. Since that time it has been making a comeback and reliability has gotten better, but the most reliable American cars don't compare to the least reliable Japanese cars. It's the manufacturing mentality and pride that prevents American cars from getting to that top level. My dad worked for a Japanese company for the last part of his career, almost 25 years. He managed a portion of the American Division and the most important part of any job was to take your work seriously. Not stare at the time clock to see when you were going to punch out for the day. So, getting back to Toyota, I believe that anywhere you place a Toyota manufacturing plant, it will do well, because of the work methodology that the company brings with it. They won't settle for shitty workers.

Just the general aspects. The partnership and how it dissolved. But not specifics

I think that it was mostly 4500s. That could have changed with the 2019s.
