Does anybody know if there’s an engine oil drain plug gasket that won’t f’n get stuck to the pan? Dam thing is a bitch to scrape off without taking off paint around it, maybe like a crush washer or something that will come off with the bolt......and yes I searched first on TW.
Something that’s somebody is using, not ideas please, want to keep thread short. Thanks in advance guys, and girls!

The non-oem black coated aluminum type come off pretty easily, usually with the plug. Local dealer gives them out free with the filters.

    Why remove it?
I've changed the oil in my '18 TRD Sport 4 times and never removed it and never even the slightest drop/leak.

Swap out the drain plug for a fumoto valve. Then all you have to do is open the ball valve, drain the oil, close the valve and your done. No gasket to deal with until you decide to remove the valve (usually only do that if the valve fails)

I've never had these stick. I wouldn't recommend a Fumoto valve either. I've had failures on those type of valves at work and I don't want to put something that can break closer to the ground/skidplate. Drain pan bolt is superior and safer.

I give the gasket/seal/ring a smear of oil. Never had one stick. Maybe this is a no-no but works for me for 360000km on the Matrix and i shall keep going with my Tacoma

The OEM Tuflon coated drain plug gaskets shown in post above are supplied with the OEM filters I purchased. When I feel they are needed I will us them.

I ordered those off Amazon from a Toyota dealer somewhere a while back at a fairly good price. Around $20 for (4), I believe. The dealer may have added the drain plug gaskets to make his filters more appealing.

I tend to follow Toyota's instructions and common sense and replace it every time. It's just a thin piece of aluminum sandwiched between some cardboard/paper. Why would you risk leaking over something as simple and cheap as an aluminum crushwasher and not replacing it? Eventually its going to make your oil pan bolt loose if you reuse it.

I think this is the case as well. Box of filters I bought came with them in a separate package with the part number on them. Luckily I was able to purchase a box of 10 for $35 shipped with the washers included.
