Is there a better version of this Amazon rear bumper for 05-15 that anyone has run across? I like the added footholds at the ends, which would help a lot when loading mountain bikes over the tailgate. The bumper gets blocked by all the front wheels hanging over. But I get a queasy feeling when I see those images with the bumper photoshopped in. 4mm material is not very confidence-inspiring either, although I am shopping for a 2WD Pre-Runner so light duty works for me. BTW, does anyone happen to know the weight of a 05-15 rear bumper? I can't seem to find that number anywhere.

My rusted stock bumper, along with the bumper support was 33 lbs.

That bumper appears to accomplish nothing. For $500.

aux lights can fit under or inside of stock bumper. Stock bumper has step surfaces.

Amazon and better are two words that don’t go together.
A used decent bumper from an off road company costs about that much.

part of the point of a steel bumper is the integration of hitch into one. The bumper you linked does not do that.

nothing is gained by having a corner step 1” away and lower than the main flat top in the rear that every bumper has.

$500 to gain 0 side clearance, 0 additional hitch clearance

it’s photoshopped because nobody uses it.

Out of all cheap bumpers that I see on Amazon or eBay, I dig the new rear bumper design from body Armor. Likely the most stout of the group(3/16" steel)..Not mine.

I should have said the added climbing access is mostly for loading and unloading mountain bikes. The bikes are all draped over a pad with the wheels at 90 degrees, so it’s impossible to use the main step once it’s getting pretty full of bikes. My buddy has a full size Ram with the toe holds built into the sides of the bumper and it helps a lot to get the bikes all situatated. Step side trucks are great for this case too, so yeah bumpers that add even more foothold around the side would be great.

Theres also these dodads. Brings the step down to a actually convenient height.

That’s pretty cool. Though it looks like they are one side only.

Here’s what happens, and this is only two bikes. Sometimes it’s 3 or 4. Just need a lift to shuffle things around a bit and set the Velcro straps. upload_2024-1-25_8-36-6.jpg

Ahh my bad, but still you probably can find someone over there if that’s a route you want to take. Cali has a lot of fabricators that are on here
