Is there a CARB approved super charger or turbo charger for 3RZ-FE(2.7L)?

    Title is basically it.

I live in the 'wonderful' state of California so I have to worry about CARB compliant devices when modifying smog test required vehicles.

I know the 3.4L has one.

    Thank you for the link.

FWIW, newer than first gen Tacoma is out of the question. Zero care for the looks on any of them.

Out of curiosity, how much does it kill mpg?

I get about 15 mpg but if you take it easy you can get good mpg, and by personal experience the 2rz/3rz supercharged is faster than the v6s hes talking about if you upgrade the pulley

How was the install? I’m considering this for when I eventually have to rebuild my 3RZ. You have any issues with pinging? Using piggyback computer or stock ECU?

Is an engine swap possible? You could always toss in the 3.4 for more power idk how that would work with emssions thought but it would meet emssions but the paperwork might not match.

The install was trouble some but doable, pinging doesnt happen unless you give it too much gas below around 2.5k rpm. Im using the stock ecu with smaller pulley from lce and fuel upgrades, so far have been fine no cels or any problems of any sort still runs good despite what other people might say about the stock ecu not being able to handle the smaller pulley.
