;) true, I'm not a fan of the scoop. I feel scoops don't look good on the taco. On the poll TRD Off Road all the way.

Leather is more durable than you think op take your gear off before getting in the truck and you will be good and the long bed is good but since I can use a duramax diesel for hauling I got the short bed

I just thought it was a less aggressive version of A-trac. After I tested it a few times I just ran with it all turned off from then on because I got sick of the engineers reaching into my truck to pull back on my throttle foot, so to speak. Toyota salesman led me to believe that it was like having limited slip, and I found that it was not nearly so.

I turned it on during snow storms on the highway sometimes when I was tired or distracted and it worked very well to keep the truck straight if some slush or ruts tried to kick me sideways, etc. That I know it did quite well.

Financing comes into play for OEM option packages.

Costs less to buy a non TRD when financing and pay cash for better parts with no interest.

Warranty makes it easy and not everyone has funds for all their wants, so for them they spec the truck as built as they can, since the monthly payment is what they care about.

The manual felt weird to me had about 3x as much clutch travel as my car and I'm kind of sick of driving manual from delivering chineese food for the past year.

Well I test drove one with 275k kilometers on it so it would have been Broken in. I wasn't sure if I wanted a manual truck and test driving it just solidified it.

OP....you could always renounce your Canadian citizenship like Ted Cruz (US Senator from Texas) and buy the Tacoma of your dreams from a US dealership.....just a thought. :)
