I believe there's one for the 2nd gen but technically not applicable to the 3rd gen.

All you can do is clean the leaf pack and coat them with a lithium type spray lube. Will last a few weeks depending on driving situation. I've had squeaky leafs since new, even had the dealer replace one side with brand new pack. Still squeaks. Just have to turn up the radio!

They must not be set right. I've never heard this in any newer truck I've owned

@smitty99 what did you do for your leaf springs? How did you get your dealer to fix them?

Soak them down in fluid film. Or take them off and put some dakars on.

I've got the squeak really bad. I'm at the dealership for it now.

Sorry it took so long for me to get back on here. My truck was wet and wouldn't squeak. They tried to figure it out for two hours though. Gonna have to take it back again when it's actually squeaking.

I took my truck in Wednesday for service and complained about the squeaking... They heard it loud and clear. They told me they would lube them up for me. But also told me i should get some lithium grease for when this happens...

Started squeaking again Friday. Not even a full 48hours later.

Is it from between the leaf springs ? Maybe unload suspension use pry bar to seperate the leaves and spray like zep 2000, goes on from spray can then thickens up

Toyota is having issues with this I talked to the FTS last week. They actually had to come out from Denver take my leaf springs off the truck disassemble them completely and insert lubricating pads in between the Leafs. They said that they are working on a more permanent fix some people are getting their entire Leaf packs replaced but without a design fix they will likely end up with the same issues again. I would take it to the dealer and hold Toyota accountable to fix it. The more people that make noise and start cases with corporate the quicker Toyota will be forced to resolve it

I called corporate the other day and filed my case with them about the leaf springs. We all need to do that! I have an appointment on Tuesday with Toyota. Let us see if they can temporarily fix my truck.

I agree, I looked at aftermarket springs but the more I thought about it, the more it didn't sit right with me that I'm going to be spending $700+ to replace a part that should be perfectly good on a $40K truck that's pretty much brand new. Also read reviews on some of the aftermarket leaf packs such as Dakars and I've found they catch a lot of flak for being noisemakers as well. The chance that I would replace a warrantied part with something that maybe even worse and then is not covered under warranty, ruled the option out.

This isn't exclusive to 3gen. It's a carried over feature. In fact, 3gens may well be using 2gen leaf packs.

I'm considering experimenting with this stuff.

I'm extremely hesitant to throw any more money at this truck for things that should have been good from the get-go. Especially considering the fact that this is an "off-road" truck lol
I personally think that Toyota is fully responsible for the part and its mal happenings. If this is a recurring problem then the issue should have been addressed by Toyota a LONG time ago. I, like many others, unfortunately feel that once I touch the 40k side of the money tree, things should be partially seamless. Not a great thing to put on a new truck, eh?
