Yeah it's almost like someone took a sandblaster to it. I apply a coat of Klasse sealant glaze to it every few months. Luckily my wiper blades never seemed to get eaten up by these nicks.

same, I have three (3) "chips" in mine at varying heights but never a crack. Also have the multitude of micro chips from road debris and normal driving

looks like a starry sky in the sunlight :D

Honestly replacing it with inferior glass isn't my top priority

Exactly! Got the damn Milky Way across my windshield:D I agree also about keeping this one-plus I don't want that original factory seal to be upset.

i pretty much had no choice but to get a new windshield after a chunk of broken asphalt busted through my hood protector and glazed off the windshield, cracking it all the way across into my field of vision

Don`t confuse Comp with collision the Comp rider per vehicle is like an extra $10.00 a month to me well worth the money.

My last attempt with a windshield was a night in the ER and a Bill of $2500.00 for one stich

I ask what brands they use. And I've found that ma and pa windsheid places use good glass and do a good job on install.
I would do a little bit of research on the places around me and find the one that does the best work. It's likely they use good glass as well
