Is there an ADD 4WD tacoma on here that did not come with ABS?

If so, can you please take pictures of the back side of your spindle on the opposite side of the caliper? Trying to see what you guys have regarding the ABS speed sensors.

Right here, where the ABS speed sensor would be:

My truck didn't come with ABS either, Mike, but I won't be home until later. I'll keep an eye on this and post something up if Ben can't help you out.

Just found this pic in your thread @jubei777 posted by @TMFF

Cant tell if you have different spindles or a block off plate though.

    Yeah, that's Tim's truck.

It sure looks to me like there are different spindles for with and without ABS. As in two different castings. Let me look thru some pics from my Tundy brake upgrade...

I don't have any pics from that angle, Mike. But based on Ben's picture above, I'll bet Toyota used the same casting/forging and then machined the interface for ABS equipped trucks.

Not sure if that helps

My truck has ADD and no ABS.. one of my spindles has the abs hole and the other doesn't, at some point the previous owner swaped in a abs spindle.

I will assume he let the bearing go to long which wollard out the original spindle.

When I was doing a more thorough inspection after purchasing the truck I noticed the wheel had slop in it indicating a worn bearing. However after pulling it apart I noticed the previous owner pulled out the abs reluctor ring which also dubs as a spacer, he assumed he didn't need it since it wasn't an abs truck.

The non abs trucks still have to have a spacer, if you're removing abs just leave reluctor or counter in the hub as there is no difference other then one has teeth and the other doesn't.

Yeah looks like they used ABS compatible spindles instead of non-ABS. can always just fashion yourself some block off plates. probably cheaper too

This is the route I'm going, just wanted to confirm there was no factory blocker like the rears have. Thanks everyone!

@cynicalrider any chance you found that extra bushing?

I haven't been able to find a sleeve that size yet. I found some nylon bushings with the right specs, but I don't think they're up for the job.

apparently I threw mine out. I want to replace it because I still have play in my steering rack and i'll be in there while I re boot my CV's and replace the LCA bushings.

Yup, different spindles. No block off plate available from my research. So, I just used the abs sensors to "plug" the hole and just cut the wires off. My previous truck with ABS now has non-ABS spindles. It's okay since that truck is now gone due to an accident.

Yeah both my old ones broke so that wasn't an option haha.

No worries! I forgot to look last night cause I was dealing with this and was hoping to get the truck out the door for initial gear break in, but my GM alt is acting up again so it's not happening till I replace it. Going to look tomorrow morning for sure.

    Here was my solution:

    Rubber stopper:

Looks like you found a good solution. You might be able to use a block off plate from the rear axle. My elocker axle has block offs since I don't have abs. I'm not sure if its the same size, but it seems like it would be easy to test.

That was my first thought as well. The rears holes are 1" wide while the fronts are 3/4". And there is risk that the bolt holes don't match up either.

Hi, can you help me out ? So I have a 1995 tacoma 4x4 it’s non abs and my spindle got bent and need a new one but could only find one that has a abs hole. Do I just plug and play it meaning like put the spindle how i will and just cover the abs hole ? Not sure if I made sense .

Yes you can use an ABS spindle and just cover the hole
