Is there any full-size truck other than Tundra that is actually reliable?

Well brothers last truck had 240k on it when he sold it. On 37’s. Drove it back and forth from North Carolina to Texas (ft hood). Never had any issue. Brother has a 16 right now with 110k on it. No issues. Dad just got the denali and it currently has 35k on it.

If my Tacoma wasnt a inheritance. I’d have one to.

Tundra is dated but still the only truck with a roll down back window and the platinum trim is better than most other interiors ...if you don't need an open bed, test drive a 4runner. I find it a better fit than the taco ... just more room and better quality all around imo.

    Mostly dust and dirt.
My next full-size truck will be a Tundra.
The Fords I’ve had had been okay but they didn’t age well. I wouldn’t take a GM truck if it was free. Chrysler’s trucks are nice but seem unreliable.
As for the Titan my local Nissan dealer just went out of business.

The 6.0 was a beaut. I had a work van with the 6.0 vortec and it was awesome.

Prior to this Taco I had a Silverado 1500 Z71 with the 5.3 for 14 years. Never had a major problem. Few minor things I fixed myself. We use a lot of 3/4 ton fords, dodges and Chevies at work. Lots of offroad and heavy hauling. Few complaints with chevy or dodge, but the fords seem to have more system failures, usually something electrical.

Loaded question on a Toyota message board. I'm sure the Tundra is one helluva truck, it's just ugly AF...I couldn't do it.

This! The TRD edition looks ok, but if they do a redesign to closer resemble the Tacoma I will be on board for sure!

We used to have a few f150s/chevy 1500-3500s as fleet GSA vehicles. The chevys were always in for repair, to the point where I forgot we had any in our inventory. I have heard overall good things about the F150, might be the one decent product ford makes. If I were to buy a full size tomorrow it would be between and F150 and a Tundra, just my worthless .2c

As far as seeing a new titan or a later year model here...i think i might of saw one on the road 6 moths to a year ago. I looked at them, and frontiers when shopping for a new truck. They seem so dated.

The short 5.5’ bed and piss poor payload are the biggest negatives about the tundra. If I were buying another truck today, I would go with a leftover 6.0 Chevy gas 3/4 ton as it’s just as reliable as the tundra. There’s just too many things to go wrong with the new half tons these days with 10 speed trannys, auto start stop, cylinder deactivation, etc.
As far as the Titan, there’s a reason they quit making them with the Cummins

No you didn't. Even if you had to replace both at once it would be just over half that at the dealer.

It's easy to see you don't like turbos ( until Toyota does it) but you don't have to make stuff up.

I had a 2015 F150 Platinum. If you want features, practicality for price, it can't be beat. Cheaper and more well equiped than a Denali. Tundra is for reliability but a dated interior and a gas pig. I had 65k miles on mine and only had oil changes, tire rotation.

Tundra, only reliable full size available, they do drink a lot of fuel but what v8 really doesn't plus gas is cheap now

Define reliable? Engine? Electronics? Problems? Tundra is a great vehicle but for towing it isn't even close to eco-boost.

Can't equate Tacoma v Domestic on full size. Not apples to apples. Resale for domestic awful. Take resale out - what is your defining factors for reliability? KBB? Being honest. Trying to understand the metric for the discussion.

I've towed 12k + lbs with an eco-boost more times than I can count. I haven't towed with a Tundra but they numbers show it doesnt' have the same capacity.

If you’re towing that much with a half ton, I don’t even want to be in the same state as you. Just because it can tow it, doesn’t mean you should.
