Me too...I think that there should be a keyhole on the passenger side. I bought an SR so I don't have many wants or wishes. But, IF I had the 3.5. I would wish for a good old fashion spin on oil filter.

Yes...the plastic they use is very soft and cheap. It might be soy based, or some kind of celluloid crap.

A USB port in the overhead console makes sense. How did Toyota miss that

    Few things.

-A Tacoma that did not have its design/development with seatbelt Mike involved. Guy sucks at his job.

-Smart key door handle on passenger side !!!
    -Apple CarPlay
    -Adjustable power drivers seat
-Steering wheel adjustment that is more than a 1 inch either way !!!
-Rear disk brakes at least on OR/Pro

    Warning: Old-Guy Rant alert!

So...after reading through this thread I agree with almost all of the suggestions, but I keep seeing "a USB in the overhead console for a camera" and I ask myself "what the hell do you all need to film that so important?".

I've been driving for 32 years (in some really cool and adventurous places around the world) and I've yet to see or experience something that was worth recording for posterity or that anyone else would care to see. It always surprises me when accidents, crimes, etc are caught on a dash-cam as 99.99999999% of the time there is absolutely nothing interesting to see on a dash camera, so why even bother with it? Seems like a distraction and pain in the a** to deal with.

I'm not a huge fan of social media either, so maybe this is an age related issue, but personally I think paying closer attention to your surroundings and being "in the moment" is more important that cataloging every second of my life on a camera. There is something intimate about being the only person to have your perspective/experience and being able to share it through a story (if you choose). I guess that would involve actually talking and telling a story vs. pushing play on a camera.

Ok...rant is over. Let the beatings begin.

I've been wanting a good dash cam, but never really engaged due to work necessary to integrate it and set it up for good viewing. There has been a few times when a dash cam would have been handy for me in the past.

The thing about them is that when properly hardwired, you never have to pay attention to them until just after an incident happens. They are there looping over and over.

Just to be clear, there is a difference between using a dash cam and using a GoPro to capture the heroic feats of the Taco.

    Similar to other's comments:
    • Manual transmission available with a Double Cab and Long Bed
    • Lowered geared reverse for manual transmission
    • Replace the 3.5L with the old 4.0L V6
    • Apple Car Play/Android Auto
    • Rear seat delete option on all Access Cab models

Auto headlights on all trim levels. That’s my biggest irritant so far. TRD off road with tech package and still no auto headlights.
