I'm not disappointed with my Tacoma, but I wish I would have given some serious consideration into the 4Runner last year. I looked at a Quicksand Pro and dismissed it too quickly.

I'm guessing Toyota will do ZERO updates/upgrades to the 2018's (aside from Safety Sense).

There may be major changes in 2020 after the Ranger comes out in 2019 and perhaps the Frontier as well.

Toyota will only change the Tacoma when forced to - just like they did when to Canyon/Colorado came out.

Toyota already confirmed no safety upgrades for the 2018 4Runner that's Click bait , 2018 4Runner is a carryover with no changes other than a new pro color.

Should be safety sense only. More computer nannies. I'm ok with my 17 due in 2 weeks.

I think the old one is still selling well so they are probably not in a big rush,

Lot's of rumors but nothing official from Nissan. The only thing I heard that's somewhat official - the TFL Trucks guys said they spoke to someone senior at Nissan. According to that person, they are not doing anything regarding the Frontier until all the Titan models have been released. They still plan on releasing a V6 Titan.

I'm thinking 2019 at the earliest, 2020 at the latest before the Frontier comes out.

Just like the ranger I do not think the north American release will look like the international versions

If Safety sense does make it into the '18 it's still not anything new at all we're just getting the leftovers on the taco, nothing new there.

Btbh, I don't think we'll see any game changers if Toyota stays true to form anytime soon. But I keep hoping they'll see the light and drop a V-8 in the pro so buyers can at least get their money's worth.

Give me a manual trans with that v8, and I'm trading in.

some of this, a little of that
the KDSS is nice on the road, and the overall fit and finish is definitely noticable

A V8 would bring the performance up to par on the auto trans
