Is there simple hack with 12v switch bckup cam

    Is there a simple hack to use a switch with 12v to allow factory backup cam
    to turn on while not in reverse ?
    Is that not principal of " anytime cam " ?

    Yep, basically you send power to the backup wire on the head unit
    Unsure on 4th gen’s, but if you find an anytime backup camera kit that supports 4th gen it will come with a switch to do that

    not entirely. at least on the 3rd gens, the backup camera is 6v. not 12v. if you don't use a voltage adapter, you'll burn up the camera.

    On my ‘17 I had a PAC 4 way video switcher set up for a forward camera and to be able to use the rear while driving. But the 3rd Gen was a simple RCA input, I don’t know what is going on in the back of the 4th.
