    I noticed most users have their tacoma's no. front differential support w/o a gap.
    Not sure what I have on mine, or is this loose?? I'm replacing wheel bearings soon, but was curious about this gap that's on both sides.

    Looks like a homemade spacer diff drop yeah. I dropped mine 3/4" simply because I was in there and I happened to have aluminum pucks already, however on a second gen Tacoma it's said it's not necessary.

    If you have lift vibes then you need to replace the needle bearing with the solid sleeve bushing from ECGS.

    Thanks! Yikes homemade. I hope its alright.
    I don't think I'm getting any lift vibes, but driving on the roads I can feel every bump. I'm ordering wheel bearings soon. Is that needle bearing in that assembly or different? Couldn't quite tell from diagrams.

    Definitely not in the wheel bearing assembly, it sits inside the spider gear case inside the differential housing, you have to remove the CV axle on the left side to get to it, and then it requires a special puller tool to remove.

    If you're feeling every dime on the road might be time for shocks and springs not wheel bearings unless that's a separate issue.

    I just installed new shocks/springs :confused:. Bilstein 5100 on lowest setting w/ Eibach springs.

    Huh, my ride definitely improved when I installed billies and my 887 coils, are you running E-load tires, and if so what PSI? I run my E load BFG's around 33psi. (285 70 17)

    Yep, they are E-load tires. BFG KO2 285/75 R16. Bought wheel bearings from another member on this forum, and going to see if that helps at all. Since I went to Firestone they said my passenger side ones are worn out, and so did the other shop that did my alignment cause Firestone wouldn't do it until the bearings were replaced. Haven't checked the PSI recently, I was wondering about what PSI I should be running them.

    Really depends on weight, but I've found 30-35 is a good place to be. Higher and they ride too firm, lower and the treadwear will go down. The tires themselves say something like rated to 60psi for max weight capacity but that's for like a contractors dually that's set up something like this:
