Hey guys I’m on the fence about a deal I’ve been working on for a couple weeks now.

My dad just picked up a white TRD Pro and I’m pretty close to pulling the trigger myself. I wasn’t planning on getting a Tacoma for a while but the incentives going on right now are making me want to get one.

So here is the offer: 43,900 with $0 down and 0% interest. The sales guy keeps saying that they “never offer 0% on 2019’s. Is that true?

Did you guys think it’s a good deal?

Also, I’m considering just waiting a for a similar deal on the 2020’s. The new headlights, car play, automatic seat etc... gave me thinking I’m going to goof if I get the 19’

The new headlights suck, bigger screen is mediocre, and power seat will only be used once. Save yourself the hassle and just get the 2019

I think the headlights look sick and I have car play right now and use it a lot....

I know they are things I can live without but they do definitely sweeten the pot.

i guess I’m just curious if you guys think it’s a good deal. I’ve had pushy salesman but this guy makes it seem like I’m getting a crazy steal. I’ve called 3-4 dealerships and two of them told me right off the bat “yea there is no we can compete with that”.

Get the 2019 and install the Morimoto headlights that are wayyy better than the 2020 headlights. My brother bought his TRD Pro earlier this year for around the same price

They only started 0 percent interest for the outgoing model year on tacomas a couple years back. Its only done at end of year clearance. Lowest otherwise is 1.9 .
This all depending if you qualify for it.

Yes my brother was able to get the 1.9% and even then the dealerships all said that the special 1.9% interest doesn't apply to TRD Pro models

OP won't know if he qualifies until he sits down... right now it's just a salesman blowing smoke in a dark hole.

True. It's the sales manager that decides the numbers, and salesman who translates those numbers to the customer

honestly the only reason I’m even considering the deal is the zero down and 0% interest. Don’t have any wiggle room tbh.

I wouldn't accept that price for a '19. 44k is only ~3k away from what I paid for my 2020. The mid-gen refresh should push the price down on the '19 inventory. 0% is pretty sweet, but I'd think that high-ish price is making up for the lack of interest.

And the new headlights are very nice, the bigger screen is great with Android Auto displaying Google Maps and fine-tuning your seating is a godsend. But that is entirely subjective.

The reason I'd get a 2020 would be for the sequential turn signals, but the lowbeam is too bright to notice the sequential turn signal so they're pretty pointless. Not to mention the actual sequential pattern is smoother on the Morimotos

If it is 0% interest, it is a good deal. Are you planning to keep the truck? You can trade it later for a newer model and pay the different. I did it before with the Lexus in 2010.
But you should think carefully. Do you think those Options you want on 2020 are they really What you need? Don’t be REGRET later. That feeling suck.

I just want to make sure I’m getting a great deal. If it’s not then i can wait. But from what some people mentioned 44k is an ok deal so idk. I just feel like if I’m gonna pay that much for a truck it should already have all the features I want you know.
