Don’t buy, You should hold for your money then. You still uncertain about it man, that is a no no right there. Keep the money and get what make you happy. Before I buy my Taco, I got an offer same price and lower apr on a F150 more options but I still stick with the taco because I know i want it.

I just picked up my 2020 TRD Pro on Friday
Back story i had a 2019 on order for 3 months and in February after the car show with the 2020 shown up i cancelled my order for the 2020
Glad i waited and love the truck

    Panoramic camera
    Power seat
    New lighter TRD wheels
    Headlights
    Apple/Android carplay
i think there was a few other things but maybe not that important, but if none of them listed above a important then get that 2019

It was $45,000 +taxes but a manual with led bed lights and mudguards as the only options (maybe the one your looking at is auto since the price is high?)

    But....
0% could save some serious cash, especially if your putting 0 down.

o% is a great deal. In fact, I've never heard of them offering that on a Pro because they are so hard to get.

I agree. It happened to me when i bought my 19 OR. The saleslady keep telling me all the good stuff and x.x% interest but when i sat down everything that she said changed. I still got a very good numbers even though its not what i wanted so i still ended up driving the tacoma after 1.50hrs negotiation.

Yea It's hard to turn that down honestly. The other option is 2.9% interest for 72 payments which is stupid (can't believe people go that route).

I know all the numbers will be good and the interest will be 0%. What i'm worried about is they start playing games with my trade-in. They keep telling me they will honor 120% blue book value but that's what they always say until you get in there.

Good deal? Yes. But only YOU can decide if the 0% (vs 1.9%) and reasonable vehicle price is worth a 1yr older vehicle, new headlights, power seat, carplay HU. Thankfully our trucks don't depreciate very much at all so I think the 1yr differential is probably pretty small if you keep your vehicle for 5yr+.

I have to be honest.... I didn't know about the upgrades to the 2020 until after.

I thought the 2019 had everything i wanted and was ready to pull the trigger. But when I saw all the changes it made me start to question it you know.

    $44k borrowed
    72mo 2.9% = $667/mo, 3,992 interest paid
    60mo 1.9% = $769/mo, $2,158 interest paid
    https://www.bankrate.com/calculators/auto/auto-loan-calculator.aspx

Why is it stupid? Paying an extra $1,834 in interest over the course of 6 yr, for the sake of lowering your monthly payment $100, may be well worth it to some people. I agree it's a steep price, but I wouldn't say it's stupid.
Stupid is when you finance something you can't afford to pay for, or finance something in a way that you know you'll be upside down.

    My $0.02.

Not quite an apples to apples comparison since your 0% is conditional to an older, lesser featured vehicle, but I see what you're saying. In your specific situation, the cost of cash is a $2k differential between MY19 & MY20, and an additional $2k if you choose to lower your payment by $100/mo.

Not trying to make this a finance argument, just pointing out that the 0% is conditional and effectively a $2k discount for buying the MY19 vs MY20.

Good luck with your new truck purchase!

Yea I completely agree it just depends on what you are getting. I've looked into the pricing of the 2020's and it doesn't seem like they are offering steep discounts on them and I've had two dealerships go as low as 48K (plus TTL) and that's it. Both are 2.9% interest so in my case i would be saving 4K plus an additional 4k of interest......

I guess what I need to figure out is if the "updates" are worth an extra $6-8K?

Is $43k with TTL (out the door). If so, that's not bad. I was offered a white 2019 for $40k before TTL but only 1.9%.
Instead, I bought the 2020 for $49k OTD.

I paid $6k more for a 2020, and have no regret. I have 1 year newer of a vehicle and a more adjustable front seat. Android auto is pretty cool too.
Many say you only adjust the seat once and that might be true. But it has more adjustment to find the right spot. And sometimes I like to raise it up...sometimes I lower it down. I like options.

    It’s $43,900 before TTL.

What rate did you get on the 2020? Right now they are only offering 2.9% on the 2020s or 0% on the 19’s.
