Yeah I was thinking about that and trying to use that as leverage. I countered them at $35,500, no dealer fee and a pro grill supplied and installed by dealer and they passed on the deal. No counter.

Any idea what this setup in the 2020 msrp is? I also imagine no leverage whatsoever on the 2020s as far as a "good deal"

Yes its a good deal. Toyota dealers seem to be discounting them ~5k right now, which better than any other time of year. If you dont care about the 2020 options, now is the time to buy to save.

Pretty good deal if 4x4. Doubtful you can get anyone to deal on a 20’ anytime soon.

For this time of year, probably not. You can shave off a little more since the 20’s will be hitting the lots soon. I’d hold off a month or two more or offer them 34 OTD.

You might be able to get a better deal if you wait a bit, but availability will drop and so will your chances. Tech and Prem. package are not the most common build, so if you're set on that make sure to be mindful of whats available out there.

And in a location with multiple dealerships near by. Here we have one dealership, the rest are 2-5 hours away.

Get it now. If you wait no guarantee the color or accessories you are looking for will be available. Those deals are for dealer inventory only.

Thats a good deal I'm in NY and the best deal I got was 500 below invoice plus 1750 in rebates they were down to 37358. This is for a TRD Sport w premium and tech package and bed cover in MGM. He is gong to add in all weather mats. But the other dealers I spoke didn't want to budge in their price. The rebates expire september 3. So I will probably do something this week. try to get them down more.

    This^

Availability and location play a huge role in how low a dealer will go.

Thanks for the replies, I appreciate it. I was also trying to get this done before the sept 3rd rebates expire. But part of me wants to wait and try and lowball these dealers as much as possible. I can't stand their whole spiel. I love talking them down.

I just got a cement 2019 TRD OR short bed double cab, automatic with tech package for 33,850 plus taxes and fees. That was in the silicon valley too where stuff is expensive and people don’t care what things cost.
