This is too hard to pass up at 269. Going to have to grab one.

Killer deal and you can always add wireless and synthetic line afterwards.

Thanks! Just bought one. With Cali taxes ran right at $450, with the rebate that will be a nice $300. I plan to swap to synthetic, anybody recommend a brand or a good price?

    ETA:

Got mine. Since the wireless remote is gone Warn has included a coupon for $100 off products on their website.

Pulled the steel line and there are some scratches on the drum. Not really any burrs but I definitely can feel them so I am probably going to hand sand those down and repaint the drum. Haven't decided on whose syn line I am going with yet.

If you don't draw blood, you're doing it wrong!
I believe these have a wireless remote already included - just gotta unplug the remote cable from the control box and remote, then press/hold the function button to switch to "Wireless" mode.

EDIT - I didn't see the post showing this includes the wire remote only due to a recall on the wireless remotes. Not sure if that applies to ALL models under this deal. More info. about checking serials #s for the recall and replacement options: https://www.warn.com/vr-evo-remote-info

This is 100% a killer deal.

I paid over $600 for my VR-8000s over 10 years ago, which was their most budget-friendly option at the time. The VR-8000s has worked great for over a decade, and dozens of hard pulls and recoveries. It is not IP68 rated (like the VR EVO) and doesn't have as fast of line pull speed as this one. In my opinion - this is a no brainer if you need a good winch from a reputable company like Warn.

You can get 100' of 3/8"-1/2" syn. line for pretty cheap nowadays (<$150 for some brands). You can even run a delrin roller fairlead if you don't want a hawse style.

Mine arrived with a wired remote only, and a rebate voucher for $100 on warn.com to cover a wireless replacement. I assume that's YMMV.

Same here, got mine a few weeks ago. I believe most of the stock they're liquidating now have the wired remote and the $100 rebate for the wireless BT module.

To quote the rebate coupon that came with my winch:

"....we'll issue you a $100 credit on warn.com to order a WARN HUB Wireless Receiver (PN 103945) or other product of your choice...."

The wireless receiver is currently $84 but it's a dongle and app for your phone, I don't want that so I think I will order something else.

I ordered one a little while ago, it looks like UPS may have lost it. Long story short, I called Northridge 4x4, it sounds like there are still about 300 of these available, if anyone is on the fence.

Who has gotten their rebate back yet?

And while I’m at it, winch is great but the wired remote is dog shit. I have to consistently apply pressure to the remote plug to get it to function

When I filled out the rebate form, it said it could take 10 weeks. I have a alarm set for Dec 10th, to follow up.

I also ended up seeing another form on the Warn site related to the remote. I filled that one out & have already received a new remote (no cable). Haven't hooked up the winch yet, so not sure if they are the same.

    Update:
I opened up the "replacement" control that I received from Warn. They look the same, other than a slightly different # on the base. I scratched a 1 & 2 to keep track. Might be worth looking into to see if the replacement works better for you.

3rd pic is the replacement I received.

@mtip can you post a link to the replacement remote? Warns site is a little confusing...
