Any members near Tampa that can do a wellness check on OP tomorrow? Something tells me he just tasted Toyota's forbidden fruit.

beat me to it hahaha nice job Hoosier

I'm guessing they were checking your vehicle in and out with that.

probably either forgot to take it off or didn't think you'd mind....which is weird.

Not a tracker. It's like putting a barcode on your vehicle. I've seen similar products used in fleet management and used to document physical presence of a vehicle at a specific location (like when dump trucks get paid per load). Never seen them used at a service shop but I guess if you're a regular there it MIGHT be worth the money it saves vs someone manually putting in your info.

I hate it when dealerships or anyone else puts anything on your ride. They really don't have the right and should just give it to you with the receipt and let you decide to install it. That includes those sticky reminders of when to do next service. Don't even get me started about those plates and stickers they put on the back panel of your new vehicle. They should concentrate more on proper levels for things like tire pressure and wheel torque.

I love to see the look on the sales guys face when I tell him the sale is contingent upon removing all of that nonsense ..

that would make sense. you don't want to do the wrong amount of work on the wrong vehicle. then go to bill insurance for the wrong job.

My toyota sales experience was probably the worst one i've had in buying maybe 5 new cars in my life. The arrogance was off the charts. There was no wiggle room on anything. But I was in a precarious situation where I had my old car, and didn't want to pay to store it b/c I only had one parking space at home. So the notion of getting up and walking out was not entirely there.

They put all that happy horse shit in my truck, the "entertainment" kit or whatever it is, the usb cable/phone charger......once it's in there, they ain't taking it out or off the price.

My salesman was that Toyota Jeff tool from YouTube. Total jagoff.

My Lexus has, well…had, something like that but they hid them in the bumper as they were a sticker. When you drive up to the dealer service drive they know who you are and your service advisor as soon as they walk up and open your door for you in the drive up. I took it off when I noticed it after I did it’s first oil change.

$300 for oil changes at the dealer on that car….o_O
