Is this all I need to do a 2.5” front / 1.5” rear lift with Bilstein 5100s?

    Never did suspension work but the most I ever did to vehicles on my own was when I changed the water pump in my 98 Camaro Z28. Boy was that fun after I discovered I had to drop the fan assembly but I managed it all by myself. Beyond that my do-it-yourself on cars has been limited to oil, brakes, serpentine belts, spark plugs, batteries, plugging a few flat tires (contractors drop so many screws and other pieces of metal shit on the roads down South, its maddening) and various internal / exterior minor repairs and detailing.

    Is this all I would need and do I need any of the options shown on the pull down tabs?

    Not even having a flat driveway (mines sloped like 7 degrees) to put this up on jack stands, and my limited personal time being what it is, I may not attempt to take this on and just take this stuff to any general auto service place willing to do the work.

    The truck is new and maybe I should wait, but my goal is partially looks (the long bed looks better with a lift IMO), but also to mount 265/75 R16 tires in a couple years when I've gotten some mileage out of the stock tires. I know people do this with the stock suspension but fitting the 75s seem a little hairy to me.

    I would just find a good 4wd shop and have them do it all for you. Wouldn’t worry about ordering it and then taking it in. Tell them exactly what you want. Most good shops will give you equal or better prices on the stuff your looking at. You don’t need coils for the front if you don’t want, the 5100s are designed for stock coils and ride just fine. As for tires. The tire size you want fits stock with little to no issue. Could even bump up to a 275/70/17 if you wanted.

    Thanks. What about the rear leaf springs....do I really need those kit mods shown for those?

    I like the stock 16in wheels though, I just think even adding just 1in on the wheels doesnt look as good on a truck. But the lift will give me more options with tire sizes.

    So whats a range of cost I should expect to pay a chain place like NTB or Goodyear to do this work, including parts and alignment?

    Expensive, find a good 4wd shop. Both 16 and 17 have lots of tire size options and anymore I’d be willing to bet 17” has more options.

    I only did a 2”/1.75” lift and used carrier bearing drop spacers and sway bar spacer/relocation kit. It aligned fine and drives without vibrations.
    From what I’ve read, I believe it’s recommended that 2.5”+ lifts use the ECGS bushing and UCA’s with more caster built in.

    Sounds like you’re capable of doing it yourself. Watch YouTube videos. It’s relatively easy once you figure it out. It all boils down to if you have the money for a shop to do it. With the money that you saved from doing it yourself, you will put into tools such as an angle grinder, c clamps and ball peen hammer, etc to make the work easier.

    Need a little more help than that...whats the difference between buying four Bilstein 5100s and a "Bilstein 5100 lift kit"....other than about $500? Which one do I need to do a 1.5" to 2.0" lift, and how long should I expect it to take if I do it myself? 8 hours? A week?
