One coat will 1-2 years depending on how often you power wash the frame. I power wash after every wheeling trip, so it's a yearly application for me.

Not just Tacoma. Also Tundra, 4R, or FJ…if it’s a Toyota that has a frame, and you live up north, regular coatings are needed. Separately keep an eye on the brakes.

Otherwise rust is only a big deal when you don’t treat it, and it starts eating through. Then, you have much bigger problems.

I coated my 2020 tacomas chassis with rp-342 cosmoline when it was new and rust free. It's been through salty winters here. You cannot find any rust on that chassis....even the rear leafs that usually are prone to show it.

Remember that it’s not just what’s on the outside it’s the inside that need coating.

I suggest woolwax it’s like fluid film but you have to power wash it off or use real effort to get it off, fluid film is good too but washes off a tad easy I bought a horoscope with hd camera for like 40 bucks off Amazon to inspect the inside of my frame every year, I’m in SoCal but still that anal (I use both woolwax and fluid film)

I would get some paint on all those areas and get the undercarriage sprayed with WoolWax
