Is this an acceptable grease for the OME UCA's?

Are you asking about the grease for the ball joint?
    Or the control bushings?

    - Avoid moly as it turns into sulfuric acid in presence of water.
    - Use a lithium complex grease as it's most common and readily mixable with factory grease. The Schaeffer grease you linked is aluminum complex.

Pretty sure the bushings on the OME UCA's are "grease free" - If that's a thing to look out for.

Hmm good suggestion, do you have any preferred brands of grease then? There's so much crap to sort through that it hurts my head.

I use Castrol Pyroplex Blue because it was on sale at my local big box store and satisfies what I wrote earlier.

Glad I found this thread. I also have OME UCAs and I don't know if I'm just blind or dumb but couldn't find any info on ARB or OME's website on maintenance info for these UCAs. I assume I just pop off the cap over the ball joint and attach the nozzle from the grease gun and start pumping until I see grease coming out of the ball joints a bit? I've never done any sort of maintenance for control arms so if anyone has recommendations on grease guns, that'd be great!

So I called ARB and all they said was "no moly, use lithium". I asked if red n tacky would be good, they said it should be. I think it's a toss up, but get a high quality lithium complex grease and call it a day. Moly is just a no no, so 3JOH22A was basically 100% right ha.

Not all ball joints are designed with proper grease escape paths. Give 2-3 pumps until you see the boot starting to swell, then stop. Don't want to rupture the ball joint boot.

I've just realized I've run into another issue. I watched an install video of the OME ucas and the install video shows the grease fitting/zerk comes off and is replaced with an Allen bolt that holds the dust cap in place. I'm pretty i either misplaced the fittings/zerks when I got the truck back from the shop that installed mine, or they never gave it back to me. It was a few months ago so I don't think calling them would do much good. Does anyone know if there are standard size zerks I can buy at hardware stores or online that'll work with these control arms?

Edit: Contacted ARB, zerk is 1/4 x 28.

Here is what I got from ARB regarding this:

"I personally use one pump every other oil change. If there is resistance when pumping, you should stop as this can enlarge the fitting causing the cap to not properly fit and a new assembly would need to be purchased. There is no grease escape area.

    I hope this information helps.

    Best Regards

    Don - ARB Tech Support"

I'll take that to mean, no there is no grease escape...

I just recently installed the OME UCA. I filled it up with too much grease. I saw that it was coming out from the backside of the ball joint. Luckily the website I ordered them from are shipping me a new ball joint.

So where does the old grease go when you do the maintenance for the ball joint?
