I have a very rusted out body mount bracket on a 2001. Is this something that can be fixed? (Photo attached.) Thanks.

I'd strongly suggest checking other points, frame rust is not joke. I've seen Chevys with that kind of rust have large holes.

Anything of metal can be fixed, just how easily is the question.

I would not drive that truck anything faster than 35mph.

Okay... good to know. Thanks for the quick responses. I thought it looked pretty bad, so I'm glad to have that confirmed. Thanks for your help.

The rest of the frame is in bad shape. I'd have it thoroughly inspected. That body mount is likely the least of your worries.

Ha! It's not a problem. I've had the vehicle for 20 years, and it's been amazing. Nothing major has ever gone wrong with it until now. It's a shame, but I can't complain.

You must live in a state that doesn't require annual safety inspection.
