Is this cap worth the trouble?

    There is a guy selling an A.R.E Z series cap near me.
    Color matched to my truck (silver) but missing the rear glass.
    I got a quote of about $700 for the rear glass window complete assembly.
    When I turned the guy down over the replacement cost he offered to give me the cap free - he just wants to get rid of it.
    Is it worth $700 for a cap which I honestly don't really need?

    Free IS good - my usual philosophy.
    Not really free if I have to spend $700 to make it completely functional.

    Totally understandable but another option would be to cut some plexiglass to shape and use that for whatever glass is missing. If you don't really need it I probably wouldn't bother unless you think you can flip it for a little more after fixing it correctly.

    Is it in reasonable condition otherwise? A new Z series cap is probably around $2000. I'd say it's worth every bit of $700 even if you end up reselling it.
