Is this everything I need for a 3" lift and 35s?

Taking my truck to a shop to fit the tires, but I was curious if I needed (or if I should) do the ecgs bushing or carrier bearing while they have it.

This is what I plan to purchase so far:
    1. 315/70r17 BFG K03s (4)
    2. 17x9 -38 offset SCS Ray 10 - matte black
    3. Bilstein 6112/5160
    - standard 6112 coils assembled on notch #11/#9
    - SPC ball joint UCAs
    - headstrong offroad 3 leaf AAL w/ u bolts

Anything else you all would think I'll need?

Fwiw, i don't have anywhere to really wheel my truck, so this all may be over kill. I just didn't wanna go with the cheapest route (shop recommended a rough country lift), and regret it later down the line

Adjustable UCA's will help a lot. I've read SPC's wear out quickly and need rebuilding after 10k miles or sooner. You might consider some other brands or even JBA high caster UCA's.

You're going to need a CMC cab mount chop, possibly an inner fender pinch weld mod and likely need to trim some plastic too.

Have you considered re gearing or at least a tune for those heavy tires?

Not my truck, but this is 6112/5160 and -38 offset wheels. 285/70/17 tires I think...

I definitely would recommend having the ECGS bushing done. I recommend it pretty strongly on a 16+ on anything greater than about 1.5" over stock up front.

A Bilstein 6112/5160 setup won't get you 3" up front by itself. Settings 11/9 will get you to 2" up front. That said... It's enough to "fit" 35s, but you're absolutely going to have to not be afraid of the cutting wheel, and potentially a cab mount relocate to boot. A 315 is a hell of a wide tire to shoehorn in there. As @MGMDesertTaco alluded to there will be a significant amount of clearance-ing needed to allow for full articulation of those meats. If you want to keep the can of worms to a minimum and still have a very respectable sized tire I would recommend something like a 285/75/17. About .5" smaller diameter, but over 1" less width which is where the issues show up.

Everything else looks OK. As mentioned before, the SPCs have fallen a little bit into the questionable relibaility category as of the past couple of years. The full adjustment at the UCA is awesome, but it does come at a potential reliability cost. Our darlings have been Dirt Kings as of late as we haven't had a single reliability issue with them. That said, if you absolutely want UCA adjustability and don't want to spend billet/heim money the SPC is still the best option IMO.

I'm not sure if you're using the shop to source parts, but if the hunt is still on for components we've got pretty much everything you'd be looking for over here at Hotshot Offroad, and we're happy to help!

You will definitely need to cut metal. I would suggest a DRT cab mount relocation over a chop. The UCA's will push the tire back some so you will need a very aggressive LCA positive caster alignment but will need to cut your bumper if you are still stock up front (viper cut). Even though you don't offroad, turning in to parking lots and flexing the suspension will still cycle it enough to hit things.

Yep, complete overkill. With those huge tires and not regearing and/or a tune, you’re going to have a terrible driving experience and a big drop in gas mileage. All for what? Looking “cool”? :boink:

You're going to rub like crazy! Get ready to :sawzall:

Your only saving grace is that KO3's are not true 35's, so that's in your favor.

The -38 offset is super aggressive and will require WAY more trimming than the -10 offset.

I would severly recommend you reconsider your build based on your use case.

There's no way you are going to be able to go this route without major issues, unless you invest a LOT more money into modifying things. There is no remotely cheap way of making those fit.

One of the best resources from this site is advice from people who have made such mistakes before. I take their warnings seriously because I try to be "wise" ... "try" being the key word.

If this route is going to cause that many issues that I will definitely avoid it. I will stick with 285s if that's what you guys think will be more reliable.

Thanks for this photo, I do have a tune on the truck.

I'm not super worried about cutting up the truck, it has 125k and i don't think I'll ever trade it in.

I might look into some different UCAs, and 285s look good so if they're that much less of a headache I'll just run those

Do not give up on ideas of a lift, bigger tires. Just define what you want more clearly and others can help. Do you want to mall-crawl? Do you want to drive forest/camping roads? Do you want to rock crawl?

Yeah nooooo, you'll be chopping and hammering alot to get that to turn. I have a cmc pinchweld fold 2" lift 17x9 -38 and 295's there's no way I'm shoving a 315 in there

I need to do some research on the 35s, I am really only doing it for looks. Based on what I'm hearing, that size tire will cause issues - when I can just run a 33 and avoid or minimize my headaches.

I think I'm gonna go with a different UCA.

    Thank you

Thanks man, I will be "mall crawling" and highway driving most of the time. The only time I'll probably see dirt is when I take a dirtbike to the track or go hunting.

I’m running 33’s. I think it’s the best tire size out there in terms of form vs. function. It’s the perfect amount of both unless you need a bigger tire for a practical reason, which it sounds like you don’t. A couple different 33’s I’ve run:
