I took some measurements (With stock tires-Wrangler-Kevlar) with front wheel locked and if the 265/75/16s rub it would be against the mud flap on inner edge of tire. I think removing the mud flap would easily eliminate rubbing. I guess I won’t know until I get them installed. I want the extra 1/2” ground clearance with 75s and I don’t mind the look of no flaps

I installed 265/75 duratracs on my stock rig and had no rubbing until i installed the wheel spacers. Now i rub on the mudflap area at full lock sometimes.

Correct me if I am wrong here, but I thought I had been reading 275/70 would not rub. 285/75 maybe the biggest you can go with stock suspension and wheels. Kindly let me know if I have been missed lead with this information. I have 2019 Sport and was considering going with 285/75/17 tires. If they will be too big I guess I would consider 275/70/17 tires.

But I am completely stock inspection and wheels. I was thinking down the road I’m doing Bilstein 5100s in the front and 6112s in the back. Thoughts?

A 285/75/17 tire is 33.83” tall. The tires I am getting (265/75/16) are 31.65” tall. I am sure you can’t run a 285/75/17 tire on a stock suspension without serious rubbing. I am only changing the aspect ratio by increasing 5% from 70 to 75. The tire you are considering is 20 mm wider across tread (285 vs 265) plus an increase in sidewall aspect ratio from 70 to 75%.

I got my Duratrac 265/75/16s today on my stock 2016 TRDOR. They are awesome. No rubbing even articulated. No comparison to the standard Wrangler with Kevlar in mud.

You'll clear the hard stuff (UCAs, CMC) but you'll probably rub the front fender liners at full stuff. The good news is it's easy to fix that with a Dremel.

What is CMC? And if rubbing fender liner occurs is it the center top or at an edge?

Cab Mount Chop. With bigger tires you'll need to trim back the cab mount so the tires don't rub it.
