He's succeeded in getting his video watched, and now uploaded to probably the world's largest Tacoma forum.
Point, as mentioned above, is content views..

I thought the point he was trying to make is that S-mode doesn’t do anything.

Edit: it seems he trying to show how to use S-mode and how it acts differently depending on when you activate it. :notsure:

The sequential mode that lets you hold gears...lets you hold gears?!

Side note; will the ECU just sit there and let someone fuck up the drive-train if you say downshift to S1 going 60km/h+? Given that the transfer-case locks you out of shifting to 4L if you're not following the correct procedure, I feel there might be a safety threshold with sequential mode too.

I'm not playing chicken with the ECU to find out though.

I couldn't tell if he was bragging or complaining about the transmission. I watch everything about Tacomas, some of it is stupid stuff and some is good information. For all I know this guy may be on this forum.

    87 fuel added as needed.
I played with a rental.... :burnrubber:

It operates as anyone who has a clue about life would expect - you cannot drop it into first going 60- it will downshift if needed. If anything, I'm a little disappointed it doesn't stick with gears longer, or more strictly...but then again, I'm used to a manual truck.

Well the guy doesn’t know what he’s talking about anyway. When he was at a stop and went into S-mode he said he was in 4th. We all know it’s not forth so I stopped watching there. We all know it’s a shift limiter

I don’t think it will let you go into S1 above 25?mph. We have a bunch of tacos at work and one of my coworkers wanted to try that out. He’s not the sharpest tool in the shed

This self imposed authority does not understand that the S mode, which ever gear it is in, is the maximum gear chosen. The trans will shift normally up to that chosen gear as max. When shifting from auto to S mode it automatically puts shift limit at 4th gear. It can be changed from that point to whatever maximum gear you select. If you are going down a steep road and put it in 3rd, it will act as an engine brake. Kinda simple.

A back step for when I get older, Carhartt seatcovers, 4Runner wheels, Topper, and "tats all folks"! --for now!!
Which works great on snow and ice covered roads when coming to a stop. No need to touch the brake pedal.

My wife’s van has this. I’ve accidentally bumped it into ‘s’ before.
