Ok I wasn’t paying attention and got the pressure washer too close to one of my window trims on my brand new truck with only 900 miles. How hard do you think this trim piece is to replace?

Its just rubber trimming. Hard to replace, no. Will cost you to replace the part, probably.

Just fill it in with clear silicone, or black if your super picky.

On a side note, when power washing your truck you should only get close enough to it with your power washer to where you could use it on yourself.

It pulls straight up - diy - When I bought my brother his 2010 4Runner , every molding was dry rotted or melted from Austin Texas sun. He replaced all of them.

It’s a simple replacement. Pull up and out it’ll come. (Little bit of force needed)

I agree, you definitely had the wrong attachment nozzle for the job, unless your trying to peel paint

It's a lot more difficult to remove than it seems like it should be. (You'll understand after you're finished.) It slips/snaps over some tabs between the window and door.

    Super easy to put back.

I work in a body shop, and remove and install these all the time. It is quite easy to do. This video is of an older model, but Toyota is traditional when it comes to their parts, so it is quite similar in practice.
Should you have a hard time, or need to pry the rubber up, USE A PLASTIC pry bar/molding removal tool. You can get a set at Auto Zone or Harbor Freight for a few dollars. Metal will surely scratch the door, especially on your first time.

If you're still not comfortable doing it yourself, take it to your local collision shop and ask if someone will do it for you, then throw the guy a $20 for his time and expertise. If you are in the New Orleans/Metairie, Lousiana area call me and I'll help you out.
