Is this Instagram account a scam?

I was stoked to see some accessories for sale by this Instagram account johnson_rey.tacos then they asked me to send money via Zelle… has anyone received parts from this person?

Don’t ever zelle no one money especially if you don’t know them. There is no recourse on getting your money back.

 

Follower counts can easily be faked to make an account look legit.

 

Also pictures are most likely stolen from others to post and make look like a selling page.

 

Every single pic on that account has parts sitting on different looking tables/floors. That’s a red flag right there alone. Usually means the pics are all fake and stolen from other account posts.

Yeah that dude is a scam. Most people now a days post a picture with their handle and the site they are using.

 

I mean look at this massacred English.

 

This reminds me of a few months back when I warned my girlfriend not to buy one of those Amazon returns boxes, 6 weeks later she gets a tracking alert that it was delivered, when she got home there was a tiny padded envelope in the mailbox with a 4.00 pair of earbuds inside.

Demanding only Zelle for a business sale? That’s nuts!
I’ve done Zelle on an item, but it was a trusted transaction that I verified the recipient and verified all the details. We still agreed to split the money so that we both felt safe. 1/2 preship, 1/2 after. I’d still be reticent for any larger transaction. I try and get a judge of character during initial negotiations. I haven’t lost yet on TW, but have been burned a few times in person and on web. If it sounds to good or too easy, it probably is. (However, there are occasionally good hearts.)
