Holy SH*T, half of you are idiots! Whoever said that prior to 2011 all TRD models were also marked with the SR5 badge, +1,000,000...

If you've been on TW over a month, and you don't know that Sports are the TRD model with the hood scoop, and off-roads do not have the scoop :frusty:

I think we need a sticky here in the second gen thread that goes through the differences between all the trim-levels of Tacomas, as well as lists the year to year changes. I'll write it if I have to in order to stop people with over 1,000 posts still not knowing the very basics about these trucks.

^OP, not so much trying to flame you here, I'm just tired of people asking this sort of thing and getting terrible answers from people who have been members of this site for YEARS and have hundreds, if not thousands of posts.

Look at it, TRD locker button inside the cab, and a bed outlet. both indicators of a TRD O/R. I wouldn't buy a rolled truck for that price

Naturally, if it has a locker (and a 'normal' hood, and chrome rear bumper) it is a TRD Off Road... and the photo I saw originally in this thread showed a painted rear bumper... that was removed... unless I am just very tired! LOL

Look inside to see if it has the RR Diff lock button. That will tell you if it has the TRD Off Road package for sure. I am with everyone else though. You can have the SR5 and TRD OR packages. I have both.

from those pics, it's got the diff lock button, so definitely a TRD OR. but the prices on some of their other shit is ridiculous. they want $30k for a 09 V6 SR5 4wd w/ 26k miles...i paid $29k for my 09 brand new in July 08, and mine is a 4wd sport.

There's a shortage of used vehicles here. My friend is resigned to buying new as everything in the area is overpriced as there is very few used tacos on the market here. Anyone selling a taco ought to advertise it here. How's the market in other areas?

Yep, looks like the real deal to me, but like the OP said, who would want a rolled truck?
