    Ok... I've been kicking it around a while and I'm finally about to place some orders on suspension parts. I have an 05 4.0 dclb. I already have front 5100 with OEM coils. My plan is to get a pair of 885 and set to 0. I guess my main question here is regarding the 885 v 885x. By now has the X completely replaced the old coil or do I need to specifically order an X.
    The rear is stock. My plan here is to go also with 5100 and a progressive AAL. It gets driven like 1 time a week and twice on a good week and about the only off road it will se will be deer hunting. Tires I'm relatively undecided on but I have OEM steel wheels and to cut costs I may just go with the 265/75. Did I miss anything or shoild that pretty well take care of me. I'm gonna get it aligned before I jump the gun and buy UCA.

    That all sounds great. 885x is the predominant one (I believe), so no you don't have to request it. I would order from headstrong offroad. Best prices and free shipping.

    I done some browsing there today. They were out of progressives when I looked. It'll be about 2 weeks before I place the order. Hopefully they will have some by then

    I have 887's on 5100's on my 2015 DCLB that way it is completely the spring doing the lift with no spacer on top for the full 3 inches

    Trying to avoid UCA replacement if at all possible. Only spacer I plan on is the lean spacer. I had seriously considered the 887 otherwise. Although I have read testimonies of people running that coil without needing them and getting good alignment numbers. What's your stance on that?

    UCAs never hurt and if you are anywhere near 3" I'd opt for them.

    If you're trying to avoid UCAs, go 885s. The full 3" would be great, but does it really make a difference? Not to most since the added cost of UCAs is pretty high. Here's mine on 885s and an AAL with stock UCAs

    IMO the wider stance looks better. There's pros and cons to each, just depends on the person.

    They do look good. There's no real performance benefit though.

    Theres plenty of performance benefit from having a wider tire? Just like there is some performance benefits to having a skinnier tire. It all comes down to what the user needs the tire for

    80% of increased footprint from airing down comes from diameter, 20% from width. my 255s are 33.4", the average 285/75/16 is 32.5".

    So what happens when a 285 airs down? or a 315 airs down? Does the footprint still only equal 32.5" or does it get wider like every other tire ?
