Generally yes, but you may have extended past the limit point. You can only raise your ride height as much as how much down travel you have and you don’t want zero down travel. Did you adjust your preload yourself? Did you check the ride height at lower amounts of preload?

No the guy at the shop did it. He ended up ripping me, and others off. He died in June.

TBQH, I have no experience with icons (I have kings), but that looks like an excessive amount of preload. I would check the icon documentation and see what they say about the maximum preload. I have 5 threads showing on my kings and i wouldn’t go above 10 or so.

Yeah everyone has told me that. I’ll fix it, just need to get the top hats replaced first.

So icon won’t replace them under warranty. I have to pay for these parts:

    Part # and qty: 157017 x2, 605335 x2 and 257152 x4

Measure how much thread is exposed. I have the 58635 and it's supposed to not exceed 2.13" of preload.

    https://images.iconfigurators.app/pdf/Icon_Dynamics/I58635_REVB.pdf

If those are the 58735 then it's the same amount of preload:

Here’s what 2.13” of preload looks like

So I paid over 200 dollars for new parts. No warranty even though they said my threads looked fine. Oh well.

    True. They’re still great shocks.

The top hat is poorly engineered I'll agree, but I rode in some trucks through some quite technical stuff back to back to back, one was a full Icon suspension "stage 3" IIRC then the rough equivalent King suspension and finally a Fox suspension setup equivalent and honestly I thought the Icon rode the best.

But even after those trials I chose to run Fox 2.5's with King 700# 14" coils, three threads preload passenger and seven threads driver so YMMV.

    :notsure:

I believe I saw a thread about ICON reengineering their top mounts and basically issuing an exchange service for the top hats as they were certainly a weak link on the original design, the first few claims were rejected due to suspected abuse (jumping) but I have seen a half dozen or so failure threads on here on street trucks and thought they recognized the issue and stepped in.

If not well... Damn. Maybe they do suck if they won't own their mistakes.
