Is this normal??

I’m installing these kickers and both of them have these weird teardrops. Are these faulty? Or is this some kind of feature. Forgive me, but I know nothing about speakers, not a sound guy.

 

Normal, that's for the wiring to the voice coil so the speaker can be a speaker.

Oh thank goodness, so, it’s also supposed to be “detached” from the middle part?

 

Thank you guys, I see that it’s all normal. I called them but they’re closed. I think they’re California time, I’m in NC.

You can just see the same thing above the right tweeter on my 6×9's.
