Heck my 99 TRD was 20K and change new with 1.3 miles on the clock.

Good to know they fixed it. Now If it is a 1 owner and no rust/ low miles, and last year of the body style i have no issue paying a little over value. But its not 4x4 so no go for me.

 

There's a dealer in Pa that has a maroon 1st gen 4 door tacoma TRD 4x4 with 46k miles listed on ebay for $20,000. It appears to be a clean truck but it's been relisted by the same dealer numerous times.

 

I just checked the ebay ad. It's a 04 for $19,900 obo. I tried to post the link here with no luck.

I agree. That's why it keeps getting relisted.

Anything over $12-13k is ridiculous IMO. If it was 4x4, $14-15k tops.

 

If it was 4x4 I would pay 14-15k easily. Some might not but to me paying a little extra for something thats hard to find is worth it to me. Most have gone through a few owners by now.

 

I guess the market is different out there. 67k miles is very low and very rare but its not a very desirable truck. No 4x4, low tow and haul rating, small bed, small cabin... At that price, Im sure you can find a 2nd gen 2wd pretty easy.

 

$10k isn't bad for a clean truck. $13k for a 4x4 in same condition is a good price

 

I know out here in California you can easily add 35% to book if the Gen 1 has always been a California or Nevada truck since they usually have no rust on them

 

Patience is your best pal when looking for what you really want. I've looked for months and driven a lot miles looking at used vehicles. You have to lay low, and strike fast when the right one comes along. Impulse buying can cause major grief, trust me.
