It is a beautiful truck, but hell no, not for that mileage. $9k or so maybe.

Bluebook says 6500. And that's excellent condition.

unfortunately out here in southern California, BB value doesn't mean much...1st gens especially fetch top dollar in the private sale market. Not sure what it's like out there but if he's asking that much, I'm guessing they go for a lot out there as well.

One can only guess that the owner really does not want to sell the truck.

Then someone might really think they need that truck pony up the $14,000.00

It comes down to just how much you can spend make a offer of $7,000.00 if your really interested .

My truck is always for sale The first person that gives me $25,000.00 can have it not very likely to happen but one never knows

I think you could get a newer vehicle with similar / slightly less mileage for the same price. 10k I could see.

I had one to many cars so I almost sold mine for 5500, and that was 95 with 300k miles (miles don't mean anything if Tacoma is maintained), but then I had cold feet and I decided to sell 2001 Sienna instead. Now after I put BFG KO2 on it, I wouldn't sell it for 6k. The free market is crazy, for one it will be "just an old pickup truck", for other it can be "Mona Lisa".

Actually it means pretty much everything. NADA/kelly etc don't just make up numbers. Billy nada doesn't decide this vehicles is worth $20. It's a zip by zip collection of what that vehicle has actually sold for. If 10k people paid $50 for the exact same vehicle, yours probably isn't worth $10k.

I have never once talked to a seller who didn't say NADA didn't mean anything. I spoke with 2 yesterday who had a giant POS they were trying to sell at "excellent" prices because NADA is full of it and their clunker was worth so much more than the slightly more than scrap value I'd have paid for it.

OP's truck, that's 4 to 5 grand. If someone paid 14k for it I have a bridge to sell.

I sold a 2000 4x4 extended cab v6 manual Offroad for 14k about 2 years ago. It had 79k miles on it

That one is way over priced. I feel like mine was over priced but the guy made the offer so I took it

    not for me.
    Maybe for someone.
    Seller can dream.

I wouldn't say "it means pretty much everything." eon_blue is right about the value being way different then what a website says its worth sometimes. I was offered 10k cash for my Tacoma at a gas station a month ago, and it has 180k miles and isn't in perfect shape. Then I had another gentleman that was going to give me 12K for it when I posted it for sale a week later(didn't sell it... love my truck too much). It comes down to where you live, the condition of the vehicle, and if the vehicle you have in possession is highly sought after. Websites like KBB, Nada, etc can be great tools for getting a "baseline" of your vehicle's worth, but it doesn't always mean its 100 percent accurate.

Same out here in az. Usually over priced, but if you know what your talking about you can usually talk them down to a bit of a more reasonable price.

I presume that first sentence is correct. He pretty much says it in the post too.

And my truck is always for sale. If someone came up to me and wanted to buy it for 12k, it's sold. I'll buy and rebuild my next truck better.

That's funny you say that. My last truck, '00 tacoma with 4x4 locker and TRD was listed at 5500 in kbb and like 5900 or 6000 with nada. When it was totalled out, the insurance company gave me 7000 for it almost exactly.

If I had a nickel for every time I "almost" sold something I'd have more money than I was trying to get for it in the first place.
